2012 Ford Focus SE Sedan

After a very long wait, in 2012 American buyers finally got a world-class small car from a Detroit label: the Ford Focus. Forget what you thought you knew about the previous Focus, because the segment’s new benchmark was completely redesigned for 2012. This well-balanced and highly refined small car seems as if it should cost more than it actually does and offers the features and sophistication of a large car in a small, practical package. This SE model is equipped with cloth interior, power windows/locks/mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control, AM/FM CD player with steering wheel audio controls and auxiliary jack, automatic headlamps, keyless entry and Ford’s MyKey parental controls. Under the hood, the front-wheel-drive 2012 Ford Focus has a new 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that puts out 160 hp and 146 pound-feet of torque. The optional six-speed automatic transmission that Ford has dubbed “Powershift” (technically, it’s a dual-clutch automated manual) is installed on this Focus. The 2012 Ford Focus gets a long list of important safety features as standard equipment, including antilock brakes, stability control, front side airbags and side curtain airbags. Official EPA estimates for fuel economy stand at 28 mpg city/38 mpg highway.
